Conquer the hills and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature

Naantali’s nature trails and paths are good for both body and mind. Naantali has a variety of nature trails and routes from near and far, all the way to the archipelago. Some of the trails reward you with (literally) breathtaking scenery after a climb, while others run through soothing and beautiful archipelago nature. Of course, the nature trail is topped off with a picnic break, so be sure to pack a lunch – some of the nature trails also have a campsite. Find out more about the routes below!

Aurinkokuru nature trail, Luonnonmaa

  • Distance from Old Town: approximately 6 km
  • Total trail length: approximately 6 km
  • The Ketunlenkki route features a lean-to shelter and a campfire site – bring your own firewood!
  • Starting point: Kalliotie 49, 21100 Naantali

Vaarjoki nature trail, Soininen

  • Distance from Old Town: approximately 5 km
  • Total trail length: approximately 3 km
  • Along the nature trail there is a a lean-to shelter and a campfire site with firewood.
  • Starting point: Soinistentie before Hakapelto Chapel.

Luolalanjärvi nature trail, Luolala

  • Distance from Old Town: approximately 3 km
  • Total trail length: approximately 3 km
  • There are two bird towers along the nature trail.
  • Starting point: Järveläntie 10, 21100 Naantali

Haijainen nature trail, Luonnonmaa

Rantaraitti – seaside walkway and Rakkaudenpolku – Path of Love, city centre and Old Town

  • Distance from Old Town: approximately 4 km
  • Seaside walkway total length approximately 3,5 km / direction.
  • On the path that winds along the sea, you can admire the beautiful seascapes.
  • Along the Path of Love, you should walk to the cliffs of Kuparivuori, with a stunning view of Naantali Bay! The distance is about 500 metres in each direction.

Samppavuori, Livonsaari

  • Distance from Old Town: approximately 25 km
  • Total trail length: approximately 1,5 km
  • Samppavuori has a lookout tower and a rock church, a gigantic rock and a dancing rock shaped by nature.
  • A medium route.
  • Starting point: Pontikkalantie 119, 21180 Naantali

Karhuvuori, Rymättylä

  • Distance from the Old Town about 32 km. There is also one ferry trip along the route.
  • The route is approximately 2 km long.
  • There is an observation tower on Karhuvuori. The original air surveillance tower was built in 1938 to detect Soviet aircraft. There is also a handsome rock cairn on Karhuvuori.
  • Difficult route, steep climbs.
  • Starting point: Luotojentie 923, 21150 Naantali

Villivuori, Merimasku

  • Distance from the Old Town about 12,5 km.
  • The route is approximately 2,5 km long.
  • The site contains two Bronze Age burial mounds, marshland, an ancient beach rock, colonial boulders and imposing cliffs.
  • A medium route.
  • Starting point: Koverintie 350, 21160 Merimasku

Haijainen mountain bike trail, Luonnonmaa

  • Distance from the Old Town about 4 km.
  • Length of the mountain bike trail 2,4 km. There is no specified direction of travel, but the route can be ridden in both directions.
  • The route between Haijaistentie and Rymättyläntie is intended for mountain biking only.
  • Starting point: Rymättyläntie, 21100 Naantali
