Public transport

Naantali is located only 16 km from Turku, with regular bus connections to Naantali. Turku, on its part, is easily reached by public transport, by bus, train or plane.

Long-distance buses arrive and depart at the Turku bus station. The local buses to Naantali depart by the Turku bus station.

There’s no direct bus connection from the train station to Naantali, and you must first head from the station to Turku city centre or to the bus station.

By bus from Turku to Naantali

Buses 6 and 7 are a convenient way to travel between Turku and Naantali. The Turku Region Public Transport Föli website provides a journey planner and bus timetables from Turku to Naantali. Depending on the traffic, the trip takes approximately 35-50 minutes. In Naantali, the buses arrive and depart at the end of Aurinkotie road. The stop is near town centre and a short walk from Old Town and Moominworld.

From Helsinki or Tampere to Naantali

From Helsinki or Tampere, you can take a train or bus to Turku, from where you can take a Föli bus to Naantali. There are several buses and trains per day.

By sea to Naantali

Naantali can be reached by sea with your own boat, with the unique steamer Ukkopekka, or quickly from Sweden and Åland on Finnlines.

Cruise or boat to Naantali

From Kapellskär in Sweden or Långnäs in Åland to the Port of Naantali on Finnlines ferries.

Turku passenger harbour is accessible from Sweden on Viking Line and Tallink Silja. Local bus 1 will take you from the harbour to the centre of Turku, from where lines 6 and 7 will continue to Naantali.

The steamship s/s Ukkopekka runs between Turku and Naantali in the summer.

The coordinates of the Naantali marina are 60°28.2N 22°00.5E. In order to reach the Naantali marina, you must clear the bridge of Ukkopekka (11 m), Särkänsalmi (16.5 m west of Luonnonmaa) or Merimasku Kirkonsalmi (16 m). If the height of the bridges is too low for your boat, the Kultaranta Resort marina is the second option. The Kultaranta Resort marina is located on the island of Luonnonmaa, next to the Särkänsalmi bridge.

Finnlines ships from Naantali directly to Sweden and Åland!

The new Superstar ships Finnsirius and Finncanopus will take over the route in the autumn of 2023-2024. Turku airport to Naantali

Local bus 1 will take you from the airport to the centre of Turku, from where buses 6 and 7 will continue to Naantali. You can check the timetables for bus 1 on the Föli website.

Parking in Naantali

The summer is busy in Naantali, and especially in the Old Town, which means thousands of pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and drivers looking for parking spaces on the streets. The Old Town has a limited number of paid and time-limited parking spaces, in addition to which parking is monitored more closely. Parking in the Kuparivuori parking area is free of charge.

Moominworld has its own parking area, with bus transport to the gate of the Moominworld and back.
