In the midst of the enchanting archipelago you will find Vaihela, an archipelago hotel famous for its delicious food. The celebrated restaurant, known for its perch fillets, coffee-marinated lamb, summertime terrace, brilliant wine cellar and tasting events, is a popular destination by car and boat.

Real wine cellar in the heart of the archipelago

Archipelago Hotel Vaihela houses a real wine cellar that stores approximately 4,000 wine bottles. The over 100-year-old bricks came from an old dairy in Vehmaa.

The large-scale and meritious construction was finished in the summer of 1998. Shortly after Finland joined the EU, we were among the first to bring wine from France, and the trips resulted in over 3,000 bottles of wine.

The selection includes tasty red and white wines from around the globe, not forgetting the high-quality champagnes and sparkling wines. You can explore the various products or perhaps raise a toast with your friends in the atmospheric wine cellar setting. Feel free to ask us about wine tasting opportunities with a sommelier.
