The colourful and bright Atelier Gallery Heta Saarelainen is located in the heart of Naantali, right across the town hall. In this year-round open gallery, you get to know both the art and the artist, as the paint-scented exhibition space is also used as a workplace. The changing exhibitions all portray the passion to explore life and the environment with paint and a brush.
Heta Saarelainen is a Turku School of Drawing alumni and an artist from Naantali,best known for her large acrylic paintings.
You might have encountered her work in the Turku Art Museum, Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art, the Aboa Vetus Ars Nova museum or exhibitions around Finland, Russia and Mozambique, to name a few. Saarelainen is a member of the Finnish Painters’ Union.
The Atelier Gallery is open year-round.
